Auto-tech innovator sets new pace with fresh identity and website


Few companies can truly claim to be industry disruptors. But for Flexdrive – a tech start-up that’s connecting consumers and dealerships through on-demand vehicle subscription – that’s exactly what they’re doing. As their crew looked to accelerate growth and begin the next leg of their journey, they tasked JS with reimagining their brand – from logo to website, digital strategy to social media collateral and more. Our overarching goal was to help Flexdrive communicate its benefits to both B2B and B2C audiences in order to acquire more dealer partners and individual consumers.

It was critical for the brand to be perceived as approachable yet innovative. Through a workshop consisting of Jackson Spalding team members and key Flexdrive stakeholders, we were able to identify the core distinction of Flexdrive’s offering as it relates to both B2B and B2C markets: freedom.

Ultimately, Flexdrive liberates consumers from the antiquated model of car ownership and frees its dealer partners from having to navigate the complexities of regulations, insurance and other logistical factors.

Both copy and visual elements needed to express the element of freedom. We used rounded bends inspired from automotive-design elements, soft fonts and pieces of location iconography in our flexible and modular approach to brand design.

Website Design + Development

For a groundbreaking service like Flexdrive, educating potential customers is essential to generating business growth. We needed to provide resources and create a seamless user experience for both individual subscribers and dealer partners, while continuing to bring the brand personality to life.

The organic, free-flowing elements throughout the site are balanced by vibrant accent colors and plenty of white space to communicate “the freedom to go your own way.”

Building Awareness

We leveraged paid media and content marketing efforts to drive additional awareness for Flexdrive. We used Facebook and Instagram’s ability to reach highly targeted audiences and help raise awareness for Flexdrive's offerings. We also produced video content to be used on the website, social channels and app stores.

The Results

The revamped Flexdrive website is a powerful representation of a brand that bridges technology, the automotive industry, and the human touch. Throughout the development process, Jackson Spalding was able to fine-tune Flexdrive’s true market value and communicate it effectively to both its business and consumer audiences.
