Kendra is the office manager for our Dallas team, using her high aptitude for organization and efficiency to keep things humming according to plan. Her role includes everything from accounting and client hospitality to human resources and travel logistics.

A native of Wichita, Kansas, Kendra spent more than a decade in banking there, serving seven of those years as the executive assistant to Fidelity Bank’s chief compliance officer. When her family moved to the Dallas area, she parlayed her skills into an office manager position at a boutique executive search firm.

Kendra earned a business degree from Wichita State University while working full-time in banking. That wasn’t her original game-plan, but the bank needed her, so she rearranged her schedule to take mainly night classes. Despite the heavy load, she still managed to graduate in four years.

Before college, she lived for six months in Venezuela, soaking up the culture and language of her Dad’s homeland while enrolled in Spanish classes at the local university. Earlier, she traveled to Thailand through Youth with a Mission.  This immersive discipleship program involved teaching English, helping to build houses and ministering to locals in Bangkok’s Red-Light District.

Kendra met her husband, Jamal, after college and they stay busy with two young sons. Growing up in America’s breadbasket, she is much like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz- always dreaming of adventure away from the Midwest plains, but so appreciative for the comfort and values of her home state and extended family there.
