Sydney supports Jackson Spalding clients in a variety of areas, including retail, non-profit and healthcare through work in messaging, media relations, issues management and coaching support.  

A former journalist, Sydney served as digital editor of Appen Media Group, a local news company in metro Atlanta. Her passion for sharing community stories and increasing readership earned her three Georgia Press Awards.  

Sydney graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication with a degree in Public Relations, where she also received a certificate in New Media Studies. She is fueled by a passion for learning and sharing big ideas which led her to study a wide range of topics including history, law, political science and psychology.  

During her time in Athens, Sydney worked with TEDxUGA, selecting and coaching presenters, curating talks, leading communications efforts and assisting with conference planning.  

Outside of work, Sydney enjoys traveling, reading, comedy, spending time with friends, biking, playing tennis and exploring her new neighborhood in Midtown Atlanta.
