Shelby’s addition to the Jackson Spalding team marks the beginning of her career and she has hit the ground running. Since she was hired as an intern in May 2021, she has worked in our public relations, paid media and digital disciplines. She enjoys wearing multiple hats as she absorbs as many learnings as possible and works to find her long-term career path.

Working in multiple disciplines has presented her with the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across industries. Shelby supports paid media activation and strategy for our clients Chick-fil-A, National Primate Research Center, SCANA and Coca-Cola. She’s led social media audits for Georgia Tech Research Institute, Westside Future Fund and supported our social audit for Maxwell Leadership. Lastly, Shelby has supported media relations efforts for Coca-Cola and MailChimp.

Before joining Jackson Spalding, Shelby earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a Master’s in Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina. During her college years, she worked as a Marketing and Communications Assistant for the University of South Carolina’s Financial Aid Office and served as Agency Director for UofSC’s student-run agency, The Carolina Agency.

After spending her entire life in Columbia, South Carolina, Shelby moved to Atlanta, Georgia almost immediately after she received her offer letter from Jackson Spalding. She has fallen completely in love with Atlanta since the move. When she’s not working, you can catch her out and about crossing items off of her ATL bucket list or just strolling along with her dog, Bella.
