Sean Ward
Sean Ward
Sean is a regional coach for our Chick-fil-A team, providing on-call public relations and marketing assistance to store operators throughout the Southeast. It’s a role Sean relishes because it allows him to give back to the brand that gave him part-time employment all through high school and college.
He came to us by way of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where he first interned and then worked fulltime in the Communications Department. He was grateful to start his career there, since it exposed him to a variety of marketing projects – all supporting his lifelong passion for music.
Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts in both music and journalism from The University of Georgia, where he managed to stay on the Dean’s List while also playing trumpet in The Redcoat Marching Band and piano in the UGA Jazz Ensemble. He also was a staff writer for the Red & Black, Georgia’s student-run newspaper, turning in three to four stories a week.
A piano student since the age of five, Sean is lucky to have a musical mentor who is a former keyboardist for The Eric Clapton Band. He continues to work with Sean on composition, jazz theory and technique with the hope that his student will one day land a studio recording session.
Sean grew up surrounded by nature in rural Waleska, GA, but resides today within walking distance of our Midtown offices. Although he’s just starting his career, he’s already walked the Grammy Red Carpet and mastered small talk with the likes of Kevin Costner, Steve Martin and Audra McDonald.
