Scott leads Jackson Spalding’s digital practice, bringing many years of digital leadership and business transformation to his role. He is passionate about enriching seamless online experiences that translate into revenue growth for our clients.
We found Scott while he was consulting for McKinsey and Accenture; before that he was with Kimberly-Clark Professional, pioneering North America’s digital evolution across their many customer ecosystems. He also served 12 years at the helm of his own mid-sized digital agency, providing solutions for Adobe Systems, BestBuy, Georgia-Pacific, and Verizon, among others. Those were heady days, with his team earning seven Addys and eight HOW Interactive awards before Scott sold the agency to spend more time with his family.
Scott’s insatiable curiosity led him to explore digital early, just as web technology was taking off. He describes those early years like an astronaut blasting into unknown space, circling the moon and beyond. We are grateful that he made planet digital his creative home.
Interestingly, it was a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago that launched him. Faced with no college funds, Scott developed a portfolio in high school, which he parlayed into scholarship offers from four of the top art schools in the country. He chose the Windy City after receiving a full merit scholarship and a great internship with IBM, which made the trek from Pensacola more than worth the cost of a heavy winter coat.
Shooting for the stars is natural for Scott. He’s an avid outdoorsman who loves the water and astronomy. Look for him on a starry night tracking the rise of Jupiter on Sky Guide or exploring new frontiers under the sun with his two sons in their cruising kayaks. Scott says with his boys, GPS is always optional.
