Talented People but it’s the character that counts

Sarah Bunbury

Sarah took a circuitous route to the public relations and marketing world, but our team is richer for it. She was a LEED-certified project engineer who worked in construction management before realizing that her right-brain was calling her to actively use her writing and communication skills. She describes herself as an even balance of both ways of thinking, but we’re glad the right brain won out.

While at HITT Contracting, Inc. she supported build-out projects for Spanx, Deloitte and Marsh, managing budgets, subcontractors and client communications. She later served as a marketing director for Architect Linda MacArthur and Studio Entourage Architectural Interiors. At Jackson Spalding, Sarah has contributed those skills and more for her primary clients, Delta, U.S. Xpress and Shepherd Center.

Sarah earned a B.S. in Building Construction from Georgia Tech and later earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Georgia State University, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and earning two Excellence in Research awards. Sarah worked a few jobs while in graduate school, including a stint at Atlanta Magazine as an editorial intern and as a freelance copywriter for Gilt City Atlanta, a division of Gilt Groupe.

She has channeled those creative pursuits into her role as an account lead at Jackson Spalding, managing complex, integrated marketing challenges and directing teams and resources across the agency. She supports the interdisciplinary automotive and transportation team which serves a wide range of companies in the automotive, transit, transportation and mobility industries. Sarah describes herself as an intentional and futuristic leader with an outlook rooted in continuous improvement.

A native of Roswell, Ga., she now lives in Chamblee with her energetic toddler, Brooks and her husband, Tom, who works as an aerospace engineer for Howmet Aerospace. Her family enjoys cooking together, hiking and cheering on their beloved Yellow Jackets. She’s a prolific antique collector and spends many weekends browsing corner shops and hunting down estate sales.

Sarah’s an intrepid comedy club and concertgoer with more than 400 performances under her belt so far. She says all music genres are represented on the soundtrack of her life.
