Monica Corbett

Monica has dedicated her strategic communications career to helping brands improve people’s lives and build trust one cause at a time. As Public Relations Discipline Lead at Jackson Spalding, Monica is responsible for leading our team of practitioners, constantly elevating the sophistication of our work while ensuring the team continues to learn and adapt to changes in our industry.

Her work to inspire change over the past 20 years has placed her at the forefront of public relations for big and small brands across sectors, from healthcare and technology to education, food & beverage, and non-profits. Prior to joining JS, she was a PR leader and spokesperson for the world’s largest crowdfunding platform, GoFundMe, leading crisis communications, generating good news and amplifying stories from fundraiser organizers for maximum visibility. Monica spent half of her career leading internal and external communications, issues management, public affairs, grassroots, and integrated marketing campaigns for groups like the Florida Hospital Association and the Florida Department of Health. Her experience blends strategic business acumen with the power of humanity to help brands meaningfully connect with the communities they serve while meeting critical business objectives.

Monica graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Studies. Her natural curiosity and love for writing was a catalyst for her stint as a writer for the FSView & Florida Flambeau and advertorial editor of the Tallahassee Democrat.

In her down time, Monica enjoys giving back to small businesses through her volunteer mentor role with Pacific Community Ventures. Monica resides in Atlanta with her husband, three sons, pandemic pup Sausha and tortoise Sheldon.
