Melissa joined Jackson Spalding’s paid media team in May of 2022. She uses her unique superpower of “connecting the dots” to give our clients, such as SCANA, Orkin, Agnes Scott College, and Mendocino Farms, an understanding of how campaign results impact their overall business.
Prior to joining JS, Melissa gained a blend of agency and corporate experience, where she became well-rounded in media channels, that include broadcast TV to all things digital.
Melissa graduated magna cum laude from The University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, where she studied advertising and French. It was here she discovered her passion when she took a course in media planning and buying. During this time, she developed a love for the Gulf Coast with her biggest takeaway being: Nothing compares to a home-cooked bowl of gumbo. Upon graduation, she was inducted into Alpha Delta Sigma, a national honor society through the American Advertising Federation.
When Melissa isn’t crafting media strategies or analyzing results, you can find her chipping away at her “TBR” (to be read) list, exploring nature, or volunteering. Melissa believes volunteering your time is the greatest thing you can do for your community and was thrilled to learn so many fellow JSers share that sentiment.
Melissa currently lives in an antique farmhouse outside of Columbus, Ohio with her husband whom she has known since they were 10 years old, and her two dogs, that she adopted while serving as an adoption counselor at her local animal shelter.
