Lucy spends much of her time on the Primrose Schools account, but she also contributes her writing and influencer marketing skills across the agency.
She joined us in 2021 following nine months working as a marketing coordinator for her international sorority. Lucy thought her focus there would mainly be on social media strategy and content, but the pandemic and social unrest during the summer of 2020 led to a trial-by-fire experience, helping 157 chapters navigate unchartered issues management territory. Although it was stressful at times, Lucy says she learned a lot about time management and problem solving.
A native of Richmond, Va., Lucy graduated from James Madison University, majoring in public relations and minoring in writing. Her chosen career is a far cry from the math scholarship that was supposed to land her an AP Calculus teaching gig, but we’re all the better for it.
During college, Lucy emerged as a micro-influencer, attracting 84,000 readers worldwide with her fashion and lifestyle blog. Along the way, she partnered with Vineyard Vines, HBO, Amazon Prime and The Home Depot to promote their brands to her followers. What started as a fun hobby even resulted in an invitation to New York Fashion Week – swag bags and all.
She spent summer and winter breaks interning for the Virginia Tourism Corporation, writing, researching and building itineraries for media fam trips. Another internship tapped into her influencer chops as she created visual and written content for Rhoback, a men’s activewear line.
Away from work, Lucy enjoys tennis, reading and watching historical dramas. She has an ear for dialects and says her party trick sometimes involves conversations with an Australian or British accent.
