Lucy Smith

Lucy spends much of her time on the Primrose Schools, Mendocino Farms and Orkin accounts, but she also contributes her writing and influencer marketing skills across the agency.

Since joining JS in 2021, Lucy supports Primrose Schools leading the Wow Moments program advocating on behalf of schools at the local level. On the Mendocino Farms team, she leads influencer relations efforts and specializes in celebrity outreach for the team. Lucy also serves the Orkin team in the influencer relations department and manages the Rollins Today magazine.

Before her time at JS, Lucy worked as a marketing coordinator for her international sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. Lucy focused mainly on social media strategy and content, but the pandemic and social unrest during the summer of 2020 led to a trial-by-fire experience, helping over 300 chapters and alumnae associations navigate unchartered issues management territory while supplying the organization with marketing materials and brand training.

A native of Richmond, Va., Lucy graduated from James Madison University, majoring in public relations and minoring in writing. Her chosen career is a far cry from the math scholarship that was supposed to land her an AP Calculus teaching gig, but we’re all the better for it.

During college, Lucy emerged as a micro-influencer, attracting 84,000 readers worldwide with her fashion and lifestyle blog and over 25,000 followers across social channels. Along the way, she partnered with Vineyard Vines, HBO, Amazon Prime and The Home Depot to promote their brands to her followers. What started as a fun hobby even resulted in an invitation to New York Fashion Week – swag bags and all.

Away from work, Lucy enjoys playing tennis, reading and cooking. She’s a television fiend – if you’re thinking of watching something, ask Lucy first! Odds are, she spent a Saturday binging it with her kitten, Pepper.
