Based in Atlanta, Llana focuses on social media, content marketing and media relations for our SCANA Energy and Orkin Commercial accounts. Originally set on becoming a fashion journalist, Llana sought to broaden her horizons through PR and marketing after building up rapport in her college community as a campus newspaper writer and editor.
It’s no coincidence this go-getter quickly adapted to the communications field – employing her social savviness and smart thinking with ease at her first full-time job with Telfair Museums. Tasked with attracting younger audiences, Llana prepared a strategic plan that kicked off the museum’s first ever influencer campaign and college night program.
Originally from England, she extended her New York summer vacations to full-time residency in the U.S. at 18, ultimately settling in Savannah at Georgia Southern University to major in English. She then went on to earn a Master’s in Communications from Syracuse University.
When Llana wasn’t in class, she was busy leading marketing efforts for the City of Savannah’s Cultural Resources department, where she learned the many nuances of today’s industry. She believes this experience gave her an edge in today’s workplace.
Outside of the office, Llana enjoys traveling. Next on her wish list is Japan and Thailand, but until then, she escapes by reading romance novels or thumbing through the latest issues of Vogue and Elle. After seeing her collection of fashion magazines, it’s plausible to believe that this self-proclaimed fashionista could go head-to-head with Miranda Priestly and emerge triumphant.
