Lauren joined our team in 2013 and quickly became a stand-out player on just about everything she touched, including crisis counsel and business-to-business accounts. Over the last few years, she’s focused exclusively on Primrose Schools, serving as a strategic project manager and as the guardian of the brand’s voice on all content projects. She’s a writer at heart who is happiest when immersed in a copywriting or editing assignment.
A native of Michigan, Lauren recently returned to Detroit, where she works for us full time as an official JS “ex-pat.”
Lauren’s career began as an Account Executive at Truscott Rossman in Lansing. There, she focused on strategic communications, issues management and coalition building. Her projects included a statewide earned media campaign for the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association and communications support for a successful lobbying effort to reduce Michigan’s personal property tax. On the consumer side, Lauren promoted the Lansing leg of Cirque du Soleil’s Quidam tour.
Prior to agency life, she gained experience through internships with The Big Ten Network, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and Two Men and a Truck.
Lauren spent her entire childhood in Ann Arbor, so when it came time for college she left Wolverine territory to attend Michigan State. She graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the Eli Broad College of Business. Her studies included traveling abroad to Paris, Brussels and several cities in Italy.
She’s excited to be in Detroit as The Comeback City is alive with revitalization. In fact, her free time is now devoted to finding just the right house to rehab in the city’s core, a project she hopes to nail down very soon.
In case you were wondering, her last name is Russian and is pronounced Za-deeba. According to the website, HowManyOfMe.com, she’s the only person in the U.S. with that name, which just goes to show what we’ve discovered already – she’s one of a kind.
