LaToya joined JS Atlanta in 2022 as a PMP certified Project Manager for our Brand Strategy and Coaching teams. An ambitious academic with a big heart, LaToya earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, and later went on to obtain her MS in Counseling Psychology from Capella University. She began managing projects while working on the South Side of Chicago in non-profit as a social worker and client advocate. Her passion for helping others and broad skill set led to many opportunities including Child and Family Psychotherapist, and Director of an after school business leadership program for teens in Marietta, GA.
A decade into her career, LaToya switched gears into the world of hospitality and events. She climbed the ladder from bartender at Renaissance Marriott Hotels to managing teams of 25+ during private events and concerts at Atlanta’s renowned Fox Theatre. Always eager to provide leadership in her community, LaToya refocused during the pandemic and worked full-time as a substitute teacher in Dekalb County at an understaffed middle school while managing projects for small businesses before joining our team at JS.
These days, you can find LaToya exploring Atlanta’s art museums, podcasting, or brewing up homemade herbal medicines for her husband and three daughters. She also volunteers her time as the Social Media Coordinator for the Project Management Institute of Atlanta.
