Talented People but it’s the character that counts

Katie Dickens

Katie splits her time between community relations work for Delta Air Lines and communications support for The Coca-Cola Company.  She came to us after starting her career at a multi-national PR firm, churning out digital content for healthcare and technology clients.

A native of Raleigh, Katie’s a North Carolina girl through and through. She graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University’s School of Business as a 5th-generation Demon Deacon, with a marketing concentration and Spanish minor. During college, she worked as a research assistant for business professors, one of which tapped her for a trip to Nicaragua where she put her bilingual skills into daily practice teaching small business owners.

Katie learned about agency life through a summer internship at Wilmington Design Company and cemented her interest in content marketing as co-president of a campus-oriented fashion and lifestyle blog.  She also volunteered as the WFU PR Chair for Love your Melon, a non-profit devoted to funding research for juvenile cancer.

Truth be told, Katie emerged as a publisher long before she zeroed in on marketing and journalism in college. She started a little “style” magazine at the ripe old age of eight, selling $5 ads to friends and family. By high school she was editor in chief of the school newspaper.

Away from work, Katie loves hanging with friends and honing her skills as a portrait photographer, using a vintage Nikon. She’s a vegetarian who thinks about committing to a vegan diet, but pizza always stands in the way.
