Kate Weaver

Since joining JS in 2017, Kate has led integrated marketing campaigns and communications strategies for a number of national consumer brands. She currently leads our work for Mendocino Farms, a growing fast casual restaurant brand based in Los Angeles, with a focus on brand strategy and public relations. She also contributes to special projects for clients including Chick-fil-A, Primrose Schools, Delta and more. As of 2020, Kate serves as one of our West Coast Office Leads, helping to grow our presence in the LA market and surrounding areas.

Her leadership brings to bear significant experience for both business-to-business and consumer brand campaigns. She spent four years as a Managing Account Supervisor at Ketchum, where she led major campaigns for 7-Eleven, DoubleTree by Hilton, Curio-A Collection by Hilton and Husqvarna, the world’s largest provider of outdoor equipment.

During those years, Kate also worked closely with Ketchum’s Sports & Entertainment team, overseeing branded content campaigns with celebrities and influencers. Her award-winning work led to recognition as an agency global scholar, resulting in a month-long intensive exchange with other creative leaders from across the globe.

Kate spent the early part of her career working for boutique Atlanta agencies focused on lifestyle and hospitality clients.  She’s especially proud of her ground-breaking efforts on behalf of the Atlanta BeltLine, the Midtown Alliance and Serenbe community.

She earned a full-ride to LSU and graduated, summa cum laude with a degree in Mass Communications and minors in business and history. After spending her formative years in Houston and her college career in Louisiana you may mistake her for a Southern Belle, but she’s actually 100 percent British, with two passports to prove it.  Born in Windsor, she spent almost every summer in England visiting extended family.

Kate and her husband live in Los Angeles with their two rescue dogs, while making frequent trips to Atlanta. She could be described as a walking paradox who leads a very colorful life while always wearing neutrals; a Beyoncé wannabe who can’t really sing and a domestically challenged devotee of The Great British Baking Show.
