Karissa Beauvais

Hailing from our Dallas office, Karissa is a member of our paid media and digital teams servicing the Mendocino Farms, Dallas Citizens Council and Chick-fil-A accounts. With a proclivity for organization, streamlining processes and creative thinking, for her, project management is a way of life.

Since her arrival at JS as an intern, Karissa took a deep dive into the paid media world, learning the language and intricacies of digital ad campaigns, eventually stepping into leading and managing paid media efforts for Mendocino Farms within a few months at the agency.

Karissa studied Journalism, Public Relations and Business Administration at Baylor University, working as an intern in Baylor Athletics’ Communication Department for all four years. Beginning as the department’s only female intern, she spent her time facilitating press conferences, writing event recaps, play-calling, managing in-game social channels for Baylor’s National Championship Basketball Programs and serving as the primary PR contact for the Baylor Equestrian Team. By the time she graduated, the team of interns was 75% female – staffed up by other students she met in her PR classes along the way who shared a similar passion for women in sports.

In Summer 2020, she landed her first part-time agency gig at a small full-service marketing agency in downtown Waco, Four Columns Marketing, where she gained a foundational understanding of agency life, serving as a copywriter, social strategist and communications coordinator for an array of B2B clients and nonprofits.

A lifelong learner and self-proclaimed eternal student of the world around her, Karissa’s hunger for knowledge parallels with her motivation to seek joy in all things. In her free time, you can find her pursuing these personal manifestos by rereading her favorite books, keeping up with her favorite sports teams, planning her next road trip or visiting nursing homes with her COVID foster-fail turned therapy dog, Corey.
