Julia co-leads much of our work for The Coca-Cola Company. We think she’s a natural for Team Red, since her career is steeped in creative promotions for many food and beverage clients.
She joined JS after more than a decade with a boutique agency whose roots were firmly planted in hospitality and lifestyle. Julia’s work there included the introduction of Atlanta’s Ponce City Market, cookbook launches for award-winning chefs and developing events and dinners for the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America series. She also worked with some of the Southeast’s most acclaimed chefs, restaurateurs and industry-leading real estate developers. Most recently, she led the communications for the introduction of the Brill 3D Culinary Studio, the world’s first professional-grade 3D printing system.
Throughout her career Julia has enjoyed mentoring and growing her teams, which may be why her high school teachers thought she should consider life in the classroom. But, Julia’s love of writing and creativity won out and she earned a bachelor’s in journalism, graduating cum laude from The University of Georgia, with minors in Art History and Anthropology.
Away from work, her favorite activity is—you guessed it—cooking with her family, which includes her husband, Michael and two small children. Their current routine involves making something every week that requires the use of chopsticks. A second passion is fitness. Julia says if she wins the lottery, she will open an LEK Fit studio.
She’s pretty chill when it comes to celebrities, since both her husband and her brother make a living as musicians. Julia’s actually been backstage with U2, and even received a peck on the cheek from the Edge.
