Julia Dorio

Julia has taken the integrated marketing communications way of life to heart at our agency where she works as a client advisor, PR practitioner, issues management specialist and brand strategist for clients ranging from The Coca-Cola Company to L.L. Bean.

She joined JS in 2020, after more than a decade with a boutique agency whose roots were firmly planted in hospitality and lifestyle. Throughout Julia’s career, she’s had the opportunity to introduce Atlanta’s Ponce City Market, launch cookbooks for award-winning chefs and host dinners for the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America series. She’s also worked with some of the Southeast’s most acclaimed chefs, restaurateurs and industry-leading real estate developers, experience that has served her well as she pivots between marketing disciplines through her days.

Julia enjoys mentoring and growing teams, which may be why her high school teachers thought she should consider life in the classroom. But, Julia’s love of writing and creativity won out and she earned a bachelor’s in journalism, graduating cum laude from The University of Georgia, with minors in Art History and Anthropology.

Away from work, she moonlights as a Room Mom and spends time with her family, Michael and two small children, with whom she loves to cook, spend time at The Atlanta Botanical Gardens and embark on overly ambitious arts and crafts projects.

She’s pretty chill when it comes to celebrities, since both her husband and her brother make a living as musicians. Julia’s actually been backstage with U2, and even received a peck on the cheek from the Edge.
