Joy Terrell
Joy Terrell
Joy supports our work for The Coca-Cola Company, which includes projects for the World of Coca-Cola. Assigning her to Team Coke was a no-brainer since she had previously served as a public affairs and communications intern at the global beverage giant’s North America headquarters and spent most of her internship at our firm focused on the brand.
A Georgia native, Joy graduated from Grady College at The University of Georgia (UGA), where her love of learning paid off with multiple scholarships and induction in the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She earned dual degrees in Public Relations and Spanish, polishing her foreign language skills over a semester at The University of Valencia in Spain.
During college, Joy’s multiple internships gave her experience in social media, faith-based marketing, media relations and sponsorships. She even got a taste of talent management during the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race, where she supported a satellite media tour featuring Trace Adkins and NASCAR drivers.
Joy was active in UGA’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter, which led her to co-found “Pancakes for Parkinson’s,” an annual fundraiser she and a friend launched to honor their grandfathers. She was also active in Reformed University Fellowship, serving as a community group leader for three years.
A voracious reader, Joy keeps a log of all the books she’s read, with notes about her impressions and takeaways. Her favorite genres are historical fiction and fantasy, dominated by all of Jane Austen’s novels.
Church and family are important themes in Joy’s life. She “met” husband Nathan in the church nursery as a toddler and declared interest in him as early as the first grade. They still have an “I like Nathan” note she scribbled while learning to write sentences, a special piece of memorabilia displayed at their wedding.
