Jessie Starke
Jessie Starke
Jessie joined our creative team as a graphic designer in 2009, bringing an impressive arts portfolio and pedigree. She grew up under the influence of creative parents who made their living in photography and design, so she credits genetics for her early interest in art. A second-grade teacher sealed Jessie’s career destiny when she predicted that the eight-year-old would one day become a “famous artist.”
She has worked on a number of fascinating projects at our firm, including employee relations campaigns for Delta Air Lines’ flight attendants and airport customer services teams. Jessie also led our group of animators who contributed to an ADDY Award-winning video for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2011.
Jessie graduated magna cum laude with honors from the University of Georgia after majoring in Graphic Design. While there, she was recognized with the Mary Rosenblatt Scholarship, a faculty-selected honor based on her academic achievements, moral character and student leadership. She did concentrated work in computer animation and hopes to put this skill to work for more and more JS clients as time goes on.
She’s a native Atlantan who loves warm weather and spending time outdoors. Lately, though, she’s been heading indoors twice a week to practice her skills at rock climbing.
While most of us will avoid needles at all costs, Jessie prides herself on donating blood at least four times a year. This is a practice she began in high school after discovering that her very rare blood type is considered the safest for newborn transfusions.
