Talented People but it’s the character that counts

Gloria Bruce

Gloria joined our Accounting Department fulltime in 2015 after working for us as a contractor. She brings more than a decade of financial experience with large multinational firms.

A native New Yorker, Gloria spent six years as Production Billing Supervisor at Resources-USA in Manhattan. There, she managed daily activities for 300 clients, many of them global advertising and public relations companies. Before that, Gloria served in a similar role for Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, managing billing operations for its U.S. division.

A graduate of Berkeley College, Gloria originally intended a career as a para-legal. But, after employment with insurance giant, Chubb, she saw opportunities to advance in the accounting department while starting her family. Years later, a stint at PR Newswire in Jersey City, N.J. sealed her fate managing the numbers in a business based on words.

A self-described mama-bear, Gloria reared two biological children and one adopted son before moving south to help care for her aging aunt. She misses living close to her seven grandchildren, but continues to nurture those around her by whipping up soul food and lending her talents as a lifelong seamstress. She also savors her downtime, reading 10-15 books a month.

Gloria’s goals for the next year include earning her long-awaited Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and moving from the suburbs to the energy of in-town Atlanta. We look forward to helping her celebrate these milestones, hopefully over a tasty plate of her “mean macaroni and cheese.”
