Daniel Sweeney

Daniel is a digital and social media strategist who applies his skills on both the consumer and business-to-business sides of our business. He joined the Dallas JS office in 2018 to support our work for Mattress Firm and Interstate Batteries.

His past experience includes two years as Digital Marketing Manager at Arteriors Home, where he led all strategic digital media and lead generation strategies for the global luxury lifestyle brand. Previously, he helped clients develop websites, content and social media strategy at a small digital firm.

Daniel’s migration to the digital side came after a variety of career stops that included managing media relations for the Charleston RiverDogs minor league baseball club, serving as a national brand ambassador for Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, as a marketing analyst for MultiView Inc, and as a copywriter at a small advertising agency.

A proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, he also worked as a correspondent for SECCountry.com, providing daily updates on Gamecocks athletics. He’s still mourning the demise of this side hustle now that Cox Media has abandoned the programming.

Daniel and his wife spend their downtime being led on long walks in East Dallas by their 35-pound dog Ellie, named after Laura Dern’s character in Jurassic Park  This scenario will change soon when they welcome their son, Fulton, into the fold. It will be interesting to see what the baby chooses to say first, since his Dad’s first audible was the Ghostbusters theme song.
