Claire Charhon

Claire joined Jackson Spalding’s Dallas team in 2015 to focus primarily on client media relations. She honed this skill after five years at a boutique firm where she led outreach for retail and hospitality-related brands, like Dave & Buster’s, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group and Cancer Treatment Centers of America.

A proud graduate of the University of Texas, Claire earned a Bachelor of Journalism, with an emphasis in Magazine Writing and Editing. She spent time as a production intern at Wisteria, a furniture catalog, as an editorial intern at Texas Monthly, and as a freelance copy producer at Neiman Marcus Online, but found that job prospects were better on the PR side.

Although Claire loves to travel, she’s Lone Star through and through. Born in El Paso, educated in Austin and local to Dallas since the second grade, she’s married to her high school sweetheart. His family came to Dallas by way of Rhodesia and England, two places she hopes to visit one day.

When she’s not at JS, Claire tries to spend as much time as she can outdoors, playing league tennis, swimming and hanging out with her yellow lab, Savannah. She also volunteers at the Genesis Women’s Shelter through her affiliation with the Junior League of Dallas. She’s a die-hard Longhorns fan, who is known to gather her posse to experiment with new recipes while watching the game. And, just one more thing: we affectionately refer to Claire as Butters, which requires some s’plaining now that she’s changed to her married name.
