Carolina Hazard

Born outside Cali, Colombia and raised in Lawrenceville, Ga., Carolina brings cross-cultural intelligence to the work she touches. She joined us in 2014 and works from our Athens, Ga. office. She’s a team lead for our Google and Orkin Commercial teams and focuses on client advisory, event marketing and planning, new product launches and internal communications.

Carolina also leads our Jackson Spalding Event’s Team where she has the opportunity to engage with additional clients. For many years she planned and supported the Georgia Gravity Games sponsored by Google. She’s developed and executed tradeshow strategies for Orkin Commercial and Delta TechOps Services Group and has worked alongside the Jackson Spalding Creative Team to develop new tradeshow booth designs. Most recently, Carolina had the honor to plan the grand opening event of the new North American Headquarters for TK Elevator where Atlanta business leaders and employees joined the celebration.

Carolina has always enjoyed mentoring and showing new employees the JS ropes, so it was only natural for her to support JS internally on our New Employee and Mentor Teams. Carolina believes the JS culture is so important for our employees, so she’s also on the Culture and Work Life Teams to engage with our employees and ensure they are having a positive and fun working environment.

Carolina graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Georgia State University. Her concentration was in Public Relations with a minor in Spanish. While at GSU, Carolina was a part of the university’s PRSSA organization. She’s especially proud that her work ethic and dedication helped her graduate with honors while holding down a part-time job and hosting other extracurricular activities.

Carolina lives between Athens and Atlanta, so she gets to have the best of both worlds with both cities a short drive away. Carolina enjoys family time with her husband, Jonathan, their children, James and Ellie, and dogs Callie and Bailey. On the weekends, you’ll find her organizing kids’ books by the rainbow colors, going on walks and during the summer, going on boat rides in their classic 70’s baby yellow Sea Ray. While you may not catch Carolina reading an actual book, she dedicates many hours to audio books and podcasts on her commute to work.
