Bekki Poelker

Bekki joined our agency in 2014 after a more than 10-year career in television news. She transferred her knack for storytelling and energizing a team to our Chick-fil-A account which she co-leads, setting strategy for proactive communications and integrated campaigns, managing national issues and developing our team of 30+ members.

Her most memorable moments to date include working with our clients and national news media to help introduce Chick-fil-A’s delicious food and signature hospitality to Manhattan, hosting a Bon Appetit editor for a 24-hour stint at The Dwarf House in Atlanta (where the Original Chicken Sandwich was invented), and manning an immersive pop-up Time Shop experience in NYC to encourage people to spend quality time together during the holiday season. She is honored by the opportunities she’s had to media coach restaurant Team Members and executives for news interviews and even go behind-the-scenes to learn some of the secrets from a Chick-fil-A kitchen.

Prior to joining JS, Bekki spent six years at WXIA-TV in Atlanta as the Executive Producer for the morning news, where she won a Regional Emmy for breaking news coverage of the 2009 Atlanta floods. Earlier, Bekki held similar posts at WFMY News 2 in Greensboro, N.C. and WCTI-TV in New Bern, N.C. covering everything from hurricanes to military deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom to tourism along North Carolina’s coast.

Bekki is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a B.A. in Journalism and minored in English. Outside of work, Bekki stays busy with her young daughter and two rescue dogs and the never-ending projects that come with owning a 1920’s bungalow. She enjoys playing tennis through the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA), boating on Lake Tara and cheering on Atlanta United and the Braves with her Atlanta-native husband.
