Amber brings to JS an extensive background of HR industry experience in recruitment and administrative support roles for corporate, international, non-profit, legal, manufacturing and hospitality industry sectors. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM)-Atlanta and has her SHRM certification.  Furthermore, she had the opportunity to participate in SHRM’s first mentoring cohort, in 2020, and has been a panelist at SHRM Atlanta’s RealHR Symposium panel on interviewing best practices and trends.

Amber leans forward, and wholeheartedly accepts the challenge, when it comes to taking the road less traveled both in life and work. An Atlanta native, Amber traveled more than 4,000 miles away to attend the University of Hawaii and study marine science. Years later, she decided her love for people was stronger than her love for fish and switched majors to human services.

Returning home, she attended Kennesaw State and Clayton State University, where she attained her HR certification.  Most recently, she attained her Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the workplace from the University of South Florida.

Amber enjoys free time with her teenagers who encourage her daily to continue to strive for excellence and have fun no matter what! As a family, they enjoy staying active by training, and engaging in the next major event, racecourse, hiking trail or beltline endeavor.
