Alicin has been with Jackson Spalding since 2014 as a member of our Athens team. Since joining the agency, she has served in many roles from administration and HR to leading client accounts and most recently managing our business development team. Alicin enjoys keeping things interesting by playing a Swiss Army Knife role within our agency. All we can say is that it’s good to be good.
She joined JS after nearly four years in the advertising department of The Athens Banner-Herald. As an advertising account manager there, she worked with the newspaper’s sales team to help local businesses move the needle on their goals through online advertising. Alicin began her career at The World Environmental Organization, where she helped create and maintain various websites and market the organization to educators across the Southeast as a field trip destination.
A cum laude graduate of the Grady College at the University of Georgia, Alicin received her B.A. in Journalism, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Anthropology. She earned her minor on a study abroad in Budapest, following a Romani pilgrimage through Hungary, Romania and Western Europe. This experience led her to stand shoulder to shoulder with members of the internationally-acclaimed Gypsy Kings and meet the man who would later become her husband, Richard.
Alicin also goes by “Lolli-MaeHamm,” a moniker earned during a five-year stint with the Classic City Rollergirls. Off the track, she served as the team’s Media and Community Outreach VP but finally hung up her helmet in pursuit of hobbies with fewer broken bones. She now gets her adrenaline fix by leading business development pursuits for the agency, an effort that has resulted in nearly double new business growth.
When she’s not busy helping new clients solve their communications challenges, Alicin enjoys spending time with Richard and their daughter Ruby, who is the light of her life. She also shares her home with their two cats, Roma and Bubbie, and very lazy rescue dog, Clyde.
