Alicin’s career at Jackson Spalding has been rolling and gaining speed since joining the agency in 2014. Alicin serves as a manager on our business development and marketing team but enjoys keeping other skills sharp by moonlighting on projects in HR, operations and even manages some client projects on occasion. It’s good to be good.
She joined JS after three and a half years as an advertising account manager for The Athens Banner-Herald. In that role, she was the liaison between the newspaper’s sales team, online advertisers and in-house designers. Alicin began her career at The World Environmental Organization, where she helped create and maintain various websites and helped market the organization to educators across the Southeast.
A cum laude graduate of the Grady College at the University of Georgia, Alicin received her B.A. in Journalism, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Anthropology. She earned her minor on a study abroad in Budapest, following a Romani pilgrimage through Hungary, Romania and Western Europe. This experience led her to stand shoulder to shoulder with members of the Gypsy Kings and meet the man who would later become her husband, Richard.
Speaking of rolling along, Alicin also goes by “Lolli-MaeHamm,” a moniker earned during a five-year stint with the Classic City Rollergirls. Off the track, she served as the team’s Media and Community Outreach VP but finally hung up her helmet in pursuit of a hobbies with fewer broken bones. She now gets her adrenaline fix by cycling, playing tennis and leading business development pursuits for the agency, an effort that has resulted in nearly double new business growth the past two years.
