Alex is a digital designer who has been humming with work ever since joining us just after graduation. He primarily focuses on graphic design and HTML coding, a great balance for his creative and analytical skills.
He entered The University of Georgia (UGA) as a biology major, but quickly migrated to Management Information Systems (MIS), which allowed him to pair technical skills with his creative ambitions. During college, Alex tweaked his talent as a graphic and web designer by working for different organizations, including UGA’s Athletic Association, an Atlanta brewery, and a start-up coworking space in Marietta, Ga.
Alex earned a coveted spot as a UGA Orientation Leader after his sophomore year and went on to devote much of his extracurricular time to building membership and events for a social organization called Phi Slam. His many contributions to this group, formed as an alternative to the underage drinking scene, landed him the role of Vice President during his senior year.
As the only child of a scientist and magazine writer, Alex got to tag along on cool cultural experiences with his parents. He’s ziplined through the jungles of Belize, kayaked with whales in Alaska and explored the ruins of France. Closer to home, he’s done a ton of field research with his Dad, who runs The Atlanta Coyote Project. All this exposure to beautiful architecture and ecosystems is likely why Alex earned a Certificate in Sustainability while studying MIS and why he leans toward minimalism- both in life and design.
When he’s not creating at work, Alex is probably creating music with his Dad and their Americana Rock Band. He says taking this show on the road someday is a definite bucket list item.
