Alex contributes to several JS clients, but spends most of her time focused on content creation for our Mattress Firm team. She joined our Dallas office in 2018, following a three-month internship there.
Her migration to the digital side of communications began during her senior year in high school, when she began working for a local jewelry company. Alex saw that they needed a social platform to build engagement for their brand and she set to work building their online presence. She advanced her communications skillset in college while interning at Codarus, a Dallas-based interior design consultancy, where she developed social media content for their curated brands leading up to the international High Point Furniture Market.
After spending her entire life in Santa Fe, N.M., Alex traveled east for college, choosing North Carolina’s High Point University (HPU) for its experiential learning environment. She majored in Media Pop Culture Studies, which focused an analytical lens on how all media- from film to television to digital platforms- influence society and culture.
During her time at HPU, Alex rose through the ranks in student government and was elected president of the student body her senior year. She is grateful for the high-profile experience, which honed her public speaking and consensus-building skills.
Alex is excited to be in Dallas, which is closer to home, but not-too-far from her college connections. She spends her weekends exploring the Big D, flexing her culinary skills, and binge-watching documentaries. One day she intends to continue her world travels, setting her sights on Bali and Vietnam.
