Healthcare

The healthcare industry is about people. People who innovate, solve and cure. People who want to be seen as people, not patients. People who want to care for their communities, facilitate better healthcare delivery and clinical care, and strive for a better way. And at Jackson Spalding, our focus is steadfast on solving for a better way.

With more than 20 years of experience working with hospitals and health systems and a healthcare team that delivers decades of expertise in ancillary healthcare markets – including healthcare IT, biotech, associations, consulting and more – we understand the nuances of this industry. We’re able to complement this understanding with fresh perspectives of PR and marketing experts who guide blue-chip companies and leading consumer brands.

As a result, we meet healthcare client partners where they are and help them gain mindshare and market share through meaningful interactions and experiences.

CDC

CDC has relied on Jackson Spalding, a subcontractor to ICF, as an embedded partner in its Division of Public Affairs to consult and handle a myriad of communications, media relations and PR needs. As part of the Department of Health and Human Service’s 2019 priority initiative, Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America, Jackson Spalding created and led the strategic communications plan for a 12-city, cross-country media tour in which the CDC Director met with community leaders and partners. To date, the tour totaled 191.3 million impressions based on targeted media relations efforts. Given the significance of the initiative and mention in the President’s State of the Union address, the media tour report was also shared with White House Administration.

As part of the ongoing coaching efforts, Jackson Spalding worked closely with the organization’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in an effort to better position her for upcoming executive moves. Grady Health System

Grady, the fifth largest public hospital in the U.S. and one of the busiest Level I trauma centers nationwide, tasked Jackson Spalding with strengthening public perception among business leaders, elected officials and other key community members as it approached 10 years since narrowly avoiding bankruptcy. The agency recognized that those best at illustrating the organization’s community impact and forward-thinking mentality were its leaders. Jackson Spalding secured over 20 opportunities for key executives to share their passion and expertise, reaching 1,200 influential leaders in Metro Atlanta in less than a year. This, along with Grady’s continued marketing efforts, helped the health system pass bond referendums in Fulton and DeKalb counties totaling over $80 million in funding.
