Influencer relations is the practice of building a relationship(s) — based on shared goals and common values — between a brand and an independent party whose existing digital footprint (i.e. influence) can measurably impact the behavior of your intended audience (i.e. their peers). According to Nielsen, 90% of consumers trust peer recommendations, while only 33% trust traditional ads. This means the messages shared by influencers go a long way, and are therefore a successful way to inspire impactful experiences for your consumer.

Mattress Firm - High Tech Bedroom

Mattress Firm launched a campaign and event to reaffirm their technology credentials to consumers and prove that they curate a selection of sleep solutions with the best technology. In short, they wanted to demonstrate “real innovation and real value.”

The Results

We partnered with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who promoted the event multiple times to his 582k Twitter followers. We also partnered with online influencers Carley Knobloch and Katie Linendoll on multiple blog, teaser and social posts, which resulted in more than 12k Twitter impressions with their 130k+ combined Twitter followers.

Orkin - Mosquito Control Awareness Week

To educate the public about mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases like Zika virus, Orkin leveraged its partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to co-host a live Q&A on the Orkin Twitter handle to answer questions and address concerns during Mosquito Control Awareness Week.

Toyota Top 10

The world’s largest automotive manufacturer wanted to: 1) form lasting relationships with local market influencers to pave the way for future partnerships; and 2) build brand awareness and highlight select vehicles. So, we helped them identify influencers with highly engaged, local followers. In Tampa, we launched the #ToyotaTop10 campaign, which highlighted the Corolla and RAV4 by putting 10 Tampa-based influencers behind the wheel of the vehicles for a week. To play up the “Top 10” theme of the campaign, we designed a magazine highlighting a list of Top 10 Tampa attractions.

The Results

The campaign garnered almost 3 million impressions in just one week, and Toyota has re-engaged several of the influencers for follow-up vehicle loans and reviews.
