ATLANTA (Nov. 24, 2009) – The Atlanta Union Mission, a Christian ministry that serves the local community with programs of rescue and recovery for people in crisis, announced Jackson Spalding as its second-annual Lamplighter Award recipient.
The Atlanta Union Mission’s Lamplighter Award, which recognizes corporate excellence in philanthropy, was awarded to Jackson Spalding during the Mission’s 2009 Agape Society Dinner held Tuesday, Nov. 3 at the Foundry at Puritan Mill.
“Jackson Spalding is a firm that believes in doing great work and good works,” said Jim Reese, Chief Executive Officer of the Atlanta Union Mission. “The Mission presented the Lamplighter Award to Jackson Spalding as an expression of sincere gratitude for their hands-on support over the last 10 years.”
Jackson Spalding’s longstanding relationship with the Mission began in 1998 and continues today. Over the last decade, Jackson Spalding has provided board leadership, in-kind marketing support, media training, brand development, media relations, volunteer time and financial donations.
“When our firm was founded 14 years ago, we made a pledge to give back to the Atlanta community in measurable and meaningful ways,” said Glen Jackson, co-founder of Jackson Spalding. “The marketing communications services that Jackson Spalding has provided over the years are miniscule compared to the countless blessings and benefits that the Mission has given our firm in return.”
