ATLANTA – Marketing communications agency Jackson Spalding announced today the hiring of Mike Martin as Creative Director. Martin’s career path includes global creative agencies Arnold Worldwide, Carmichael Lynch and DDB; and clients The Coca-Cola Company, McDonalds and Harley-Davidson.
Martin most recently ran his own agency for eight years, helping clients with business and brand strategy, creative development and content marketing execution across traditional and digital platforms. Among other clients, he has delivered multi-channel campaigns for Jack Link’s, truth, the Department of Homeland Security, the Preakness Stakes and a presidential political campaign.

Martin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the University of Georgia’s (UGA) Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication before continuing his studies at Oxford University in England and the Creative Circus in Atlanta. He has served on the UGA Grady College of Journalism Alumni Board and the Board of Directors for the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA), and he currently volunteers with Habitat for Humanity and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. He is the father of three and spends his weekends as a pit master, perfecting his smoked BBQ recipe.
