We know that a company’s culture isn’t everything, but it is certainly a key element in a well-functioning organization. Our co-founder Glen Jackson compares company culture to a greenhouse where people and ideas flourish — and our Jackson Spalding Dallas office, led by co-owner Joanna Singleton, is definitely flourishing.
We were recently ranked as 6th on the list of PR Firms in North Texas – up a spot from 2018 – and for the second year in a row, Jackson Spalding was named one of the 100 Best Places to Work in North Texas by the Dallas Business Journal. As a multi-city organization, ensuring the core of the agency’s uniquely close-knit culture is translated across locations is imperative to our success. It’s something people feel when they visit our office or meet with our team members. We believe that by creating an environment where employees are empowered to grow and encouraged to bring their whole selves to work, we are ultimately able to produce better results for our clients.
Our most important value is that we tell the truth — among ourselves and on behalf of our clients. We’re committed to remaining independently owned in order to ensure that this devotion to the truth is never compromised.
We also foster an entrepreneurial spirit, especially as our Dallas office grows so rapidly. In fact, in the fall, we’ll be moving to the One Arts Plaza building in the Dallas Arts District to accommodate our expanding team and business. Jackson Spalding announced the new office location to the JS Dallas team by way of a creative scavenger hunt in downtown Dallas. Team members uncovered clues across their soon-to-be-neighborhood in the Dallas Arts District leading to its new home at 1722 Routh St., where it will open its doors in October 2019.
The dedicated JS “Work/Life” team spans all offices and consists of JSers who help create an ever-improving daily working environment with opportunities for our team to build strong relationships and take a break inside and outside the workplace. After all, one of our values is, “We have fun,” and we take that very seriously.
In the last year, the Dallas team introduced new local activities, including an axe-throwing excursion, a “Favorite Things” party where team members shared amusing deals for under $20, and a Texas Independence Day celebration chockfull of Texas trivia, tacos, bollo ties and boots. But the Texas pride doesn’t stop there – there’s also an annual trip to the Texas State Fair.

Another signature Jackson Spalding Dallas cultural event is the annual Breakfast Blind Date. Just as it sounds, JSers are given a location and time to arrive to meet a surprise team member for breakfast. Each duo meets at a different location and is provided with conversation starters. Then, the group gathers as a whole to share what they learned about one another to further team building momentum.
All of this fun takes place amid producing stellar, award-winning work for Texas-based clients like Mattress Firm, Interstate Batteries, Dallas Regional Chamber and the Firebird Restaurant Group to name a few.
The entire JS family applauds our Dallas team’s efforts to create an environment that is reflective of Jackson Spalding’s core values and culture — with a Texas twist.
