Jackson Spalding Expands Community Involvement
Jackson Spalding employees support the community through leadership and board positions
ATLANTA -Jackson Spalding, one of the largest independent marketing communication firms in the Southeast, is expanding its community involvement this year, with new leadership and not-for-profit board appointments for its partners.
"Helping advance our communities is part of the Jackson Spalding mission," says Decatur resident Randall Kirsch, a member of the 2009 Leadership Atlanta class. Bari Love, a Dunwoody resident who graduated from Leadership Atlanta in 2006, will serve as the program chair for the organization this year.
Other Jackson Spalding team members have been selected for suburban leadership classes. Co-founder Bo Spalding, a 2002 Leadership Atlanta graduate, will join Leadership DeKalb for 2008-2009. Pat Hill will participate in the 2009 Leadership North Fulton class. Sandy Springs resident Diana Sturisky was tapped for the Fall 2008 Arts Leaders of Metro Atlanta and is also chairing the upcoming Atlanta event for CARE International's "National Day of Action." DeKalb resident Caroline Duffy will begin her year in the Buckhead Business Association's Leadership Development Program this fall.
The firm's employees serve on numerous boards as well. Co-founder Glen Jackson co-chairs the "Make the Promise" fundraising campaign for The Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. He also recently joined the Chick-fil-A Bowl board of directors. Mart Martin steps up to chair the Theatrical Outfit board of trustees, a position he will hold for three years.
In Athens, Jackson Spalding is actively involved in Oconee County organizations. Brian Brodrick will join the Athens Regional Foundation Classic Tournament board, the University of Georgia's Grady College Journalism Board of Advisors and the board of directors for the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce. Bryan Harris serves on the board of directors for the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.
