Lindsey Scott

Just like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, Lindsey is not in Kansas anymore, and for that we are very grateful. The winds of change blew this Emporia, Kansas native to our doorstep following her graduate studies at the University of Georgia. She was hired in 2008 after interning at our firm.

Lindsey earned her Master of Arts degree with a concentration in public relations from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. While there, she was elected to represent 8,000 students as president of the Graduate Student Association, a position that gave her voting rights on numerous university issues.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas. On campus she led a student-run PR firm sponsored by the local Public Relations Society of America collegiate chapter.

During college, Lindsey completed a number of practical internships, including nine months with a Kansas City PR agency whose clients included big names in veterinary healthcare. She worked on a complex project for Ft. Dodge Animal Health, a division of Wyeth Canada, involving the FDA recall of a canine heartworm product. She also logged time as a district intern for U.S. Congressman Dennis Moore.

Politics have been a lifelong interest, which led to Lindsey’s thesis on message consistency in the national Democratic and Republican parties. Her penchant for research is something we’ve put to good use on a number of client public information campaigns.

Many years from now Lindsey may wind up as a communications professor, unless the winds of opportunity sweep her away to the helm of a coastal bed and breakfast. For now, however, she is conquering our big city from her suburban Decatur headquarters.
