Whitney Miller

Whitney provides strategic counsel, media relations and crisis communications expertise for a variety of clients, including Orkin, Inc., one of our largest accounts. She is a key strategic player on the residential team, leading media relations, as well as public health and educational initiatives. Other consumer experience includes national work for Shell and The Coca-Cola Company

In addition, she leads the business-to-business media strategy for Georgia Transmission, a not-for-profit utility that serves the majority of Georgia’s 42 Electric Membership Cooperatives.

An accomplished event planner, Whitney coordinates and runs tradeshows, community events and award ceremonies, including the 2006 Ga. CIO of the Year Awards on behalf of the Georgia CIO Leadership Association.

Her previous experience includes television production at CNN’s Special Projects Unit, where she wrote and produced a Fortune 500 segment that aired on Headline News in the spring of 2003. In Washington, she also assisted the research and planning department at NBC’s “Meet the Press,” greeting and preparing guests such as Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice, Dick Cheney and Hillary Clinton.

Whitney earned her bachelor’s degree in History from Agnes Scott College, from which she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She spent part of her college years at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, studying Scottish History and Literature, as well as Celtic Civilization.

She loves listening to country music, frequenting Piedmont Park and visiting her hometown of Owensboro, KY to see Smokey Joe (her miniature Schnauzer) and the rest of her family, as well as taste that true blue Bar-B-Q.
