Gustavo Machado

Gustavo Machado

One of the early members of the Jackson Spalding team, Gustavo Machado’s contributions since joining in 1995 include high-tech expertise, research savvy and a global perspective. In addition to playing an integral role on the agency’s technology client accounts, he provides strategic planning and online research, as well as relations with local and national media. He also provides advice to clients across the agency on technology-related issues.

Prior to joining Jackson Spalding, Gustavo was an account executive at an international public relations firm, where he twice earned the firm’s top award for client innovation. He has been profiled by Mundo Hispanico, the largest Spanish-language weekly in Atlanta, and provides Jackson Spalding clients with counsel on reaching the Hispanic community, the largest growing demographic in the southeast.

A native of Venezuela, Gustavo holds a master’s degree in International Journalism from Baylor University and a journalism degree with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas. With a mind set on global awareness, Gustavo also has his hand on the pulse locally through his membership in Atlanta’s Northside Kiwanis Club.

Gustavo lives in Marietta with his wife, Willa, and her two children. He is an avid Braves fan and a pop-culture buff. Well-equipped with obscure facts from television and music history, he is an asset to any Wednesday night trivia team, and can answer any question about the Beatles — go on, try him.
