Hadley Hickman
Hadley’s journey into journalism and PR began with an uncle who was once the publisher of Esquire Magazine. This early exposure to the literary world planted a seed for writing that blossomed when she was an English major at The University of The South. Hadley further pursued her bent for writing at The University of Mississippi where she earned a Master of Arts in Journalism and the Phi Kappa Phi top scholar award.
Along the way, she interned at WORTH magazine, Atlanta Magazine, and Business Tennessee Magazine. Her byline has appeared in Y’All Magazine, where she penned an interview with Courteney Cox, brokered through a tennis court encounter with the actress’ sister.
Hadley also spent time on the advertising side, working for two years as a media buyer in the broadcast division of Mindshare Atlanta/J. Walter Thompson.
She’s a native Atlantan who once represented her age group playing competitively for Tennis Europe, a month-long competition that brought her to the net in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Her passion, aside from writing, is the piano, which she has studied since the age of four. When she’s not tickling the ivories, she is most likely unwinding with a stack of — what else — magazines!
