Claire Guappone
Claire has known she was interested in public relations since her first year of college, but her term as president of the Public Relations Student Society of America Chapter at Miami University really sealed her commitment. In fact, she was so eager to put her experience to work that she graduated a semester early.
She’s a summa cum laude graduate with a major in Strategic Communications and a minor in Marketing. Both studies were put to the test during an advertising practicum in London where she worked on an integrated marketing communications assignment for Burger King United Kingdom. During college, she also worked for the internal communications department of Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc., a medical device manufacturer owned by Johnson & Johnson. While there, she put her considerable writing skills into practice drafting crisis plans, sales force newsletter articles and intranet communications.
Claire impressed us from the get-go with her quiet confidence. A life-long Ohioan, she ventured south where she had no contacts to establish new roots and grow her PR skills. Although a self-confessed suburban girl, she now is loving the intown Atlanta vibe by frequenting antique shops and outdoor markets to perfect her apartment décor.
Claire has a passion for the classics, including a love for black and white films, Jane Austen’s novels and Audrey Hepburn’s fashion flair. A vegetarian since junior high, Claire finds her creative inspiration in the kitchen, where she enjoys concocting meals that are colorful, healthy and delicious.
