Atlanta
Lawrence Gellerstedt
Lawrence served as an intern at Jackson Spalding for seven months before joining us full-time in 2008. His entrepreneurial spirit and hard-driving work ethic made his promotion a no-brainer for us.
He grew up at the heels of his father and grandfather who owned a venerable Southeastern construction firm, so real estate promotion was an easy fit. Lawrence currently supports our work for Barry Real Estate Cos and is coordinating events and public affairs work for a high-profile re-development project.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and furthered his studies at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. While there, he wrote his research paper on the impact of World Wars I and II on the psyche of Australian men.
He loves golf, wakeboarding and baseball, which he played competitively until his arm gave way in college. He filled that void by joining the coaching staff of a local high school team, working for two years as assistant coach, and eventually graduating to head coach. On his watch the team went from a string of .500 seasons to a winning roster just one game shy of first place.
Lawrence approaches everything he does with intensity, including his unofficial role as Jackson Spalding’s social director. He also volunteers with the Atlanta Apartment Association and the Livable Communities Coalition, which no doubt will help him to shape Atlanta’s 21st-century history.
