Stephanie Fitzsimmons

With more than 19 years of experience in marketing, promotions and public relations, Stephanie Fitzsimmons has been a valuable colleague since joining Jackson Spalding in 1999.  She has an award-winning profile in events coordination and sports promotion and has brought strong marketing instincts to bear as a key leader on the Delta Air Lines account. Other members of our firm benefit from her work history as Stephanie chairs our Career Development Team.

She is a welcome, steady presence for clients during times of crisis.  In fact, she was undeterred the first day back from maternity leave when Delta needed her help in the wake of the 9/11 airline disaster.  Her crisis experience includes strategy, writing and media outreach — all of which she again put to good use for Delta in the days preceding the War in Iraq, and for Ashley Smith on the day she emerged as Atlanta’s hostage hero.

Stephanie leads communications strategy for the Chick-fil-A Bowl, a position that calls on her past experience promoting an LPGA Tour event in Atlanta.  Her exceptional work on the LPGA event earned several marketing awards and international recognition.  Earlier in her career, she managed large-scale sports and community events for the U.S. Navy at Naval Air Station Atlanta.

Stephanie holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from Iowa State University, with a minor in English.

An avid traveler, she has climbed the Great Wall of China, snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef and reached the top of the Eiffel Tower.  Her traveling entourage now includes her husband and two children — who all join her as card-carrying members of Delta’s SkyMiles program.
