Manning Fairey
Manning joined our firm in 2008 after three years at a boutique Atlanta agency where she helped develop consumer and business-to-business campaigns for clients. One of her most interesting achievements was the coordination of a national awards program that recognized outstanding women in non-profits. Through this work, she met Janet Reno and Billie Jean King — celebrity judges for the awards program that attracted media coverage coast to coast. At Jackson Spalding she contributes to the Orkin and Georgia Research Alliance teams and supports our green marketing initiatives.
A Spartanburg, S.C. native, Manning graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington & Lee University where she played on the nationally-ranked women’s tennis team. She was named to the Academic All-American Team her senior year.
Prior to graduation, she spent six months studying at Canterbury University in New Zealand. She took advantage of her time Down Under with side trips to the Sydney Olympic Games as well as stops in Fiji and Thailand. Her traveling partner had golfing connections, which is why Manning wound up clinking glasses with Tiger Woods during her short time in the South Pacific.
Manning’s zest for world travel literally became a “fairey tale” when she met her husband while backpacking through Europe. They live in Buckhead, but escape to the mountains for skiing whenever the powder permits.
