Ashlea Caplinger
Ashlea is one of those “can do” people who makes things happen. She joined us in 2007 after working for a court reporting firm managing legal events for more than 100 law firms nationwide. Today she applies her organizational and persuasive skills to accounts ranging from real estate to consumer brands.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. Her collegiate resume includes a minor in Event Planning, which she devised herself with the Dean’s approval and a collaborative nod from the College of Human Environmental Sciences. While in Tuscaloosa, she served as guest coordinator for WVUA-7 News, a position that gave her great experience on the media side of public relations. She also was elected to the University’s Student Government Association and served as Advertising and Public Relations Director for Dateline Alabama, the university’s online news source.
Ashlea is a native of Memphis who hails from a large Italian family on her mother’s side. A few years ago, she had the unique experience of meeting her Italian cousins in Florence. They didn’t speak English and she didn’t speak Italian, but Ashlea found a way to strike up a satisfying conversation using her high school Spanish.
Known as a “foodie” around the office, Ashlea never tires of trying out popular eateries — although learning how to cook is also high on her list of things to do. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and taking home tours around the city’s different neighborhoods.
