Abigail Blaylock

Abby knew early on that she wanted a career in public relations, so she blazed a trail that led to work at a Fortune 100 company, interviews on local TV and radio and reporting from the Cannes Film Festival before she even graduated college. Her trademark drive and determination make her a welcome addition to many account teams.

A fourth-generation Bulldog, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia after earning two bachelor’s degrees: in Public Relations from the Grady School of Journalism and in Marketing from the Terry College of Business. Her academic and extracurricular achievements resulted in a variety of honors, including a profile on UGA’s web site as an “Amazing Student.”

Abby is an alumna of the prestigious Terry College Institute for Leadership Advancement, so it is no surprise that she was elected president of the UGA PRSSA chapter, assistant director of the organization’s student-run PR firm and as the Athens Coordinator for the Multiple Sclerosis Walk. She also served as chairman of the “Bulldogs for the Brain Train,” lobbying Georgia legislators for rapid rail between Athens and Atlanta.

Despite her heavy course load, she managed to pack in five practical internships, including a summer job in the communications department of Coca-Cola North America. She also was a scholarship recipient for the Grady College Cannes Film Festival Program, which gave her access to the star-studded red carpet and the opportunity to review notable films before they hit the mass market.

Abby is a native of Marietta, who now lives in Atlanta where she browses the aisles of the local bookstores and hits the mat at hot power yoga classes.
