JoAnna Anderson

JoAnna Anderson joined Jackson Spalding in 2006 after getting her feet wet at two smaller boutique agencies. Her experience further bolsters the firm’s event management and media relations arsenal.

JoAnna earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she double-majored in Public Relations and Spanish. Attending one of the top journalism schools in the nation equipped JoAnna with not only a solid education, but also a great deal of career experience, which she was able to log while completing her studies in the Research Triangle. She worked with various non-profit organizations, such as the North Carolina Victims’ Assistance Network in Raleigh and the Center for Employment Training in Durham, creating new collateral materials and websites, planning events and implementing long-term programs to increase community visibility. She was honored to receive the Orange County Key Volunteer Award as well as the Village Pride Award for her public relations efforts for a volunteer program in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School System.

While organized and dependable, JoAnna also has an adventurous streak. One of the greatest highlights of her college experience was spending a semester in Seville, Spain, learning Spanish and traveling around Western Europe.

Although she says she’ll always remain a Tar Heel at heart, she is happy to be back in her birthplace of Atlanta where she can spend more time with her large family. The youngest of eight children, she has 18 nieces and nephews to keep her busy. She also enjoys exercising, reading, spending time with friends and checking out the city’s hot spots. She’s a huge country music fan and never misses an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.
