Nancy considered a career in fashion design, but we’re grateful that she ultimately pursued a life in communications. She brings a variety of talents to our team and draws on all of them in her role as a project manager.

Before her time at JS, Nancy managed comprehensive marketing programs for a wide range of residential real estate properties throughout the Southeast. In this role she oversaw the strategy for branding, advertising, digital, publicity and events for 18 locations, supervising creative partners and processes.

She also did a six-month stint in Hollywood, working as the Public Relations and Event Coordinator for celebrity hotspot, VOYEUR. Her job description included selling, booking and managing events, which brought her face-to-face with the likes of Adele, the British chart-topper, and Matthew Morrison, a star of Fox TV’s Glee. She helped launch sister locations, Sonoma Wine Bar and Ozumo Santa Monica, before returning to her roots in the Deep South.

A native of Sumter, S.C., Nancy graduated, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications. She minored in Retail-Fashion Merchandising and completed a summer intensive at Parsons The New School for Design in New York. While she ultimately decided not to pursue fashion, Nancy is a creative spirit at heart. She spent her first year out of school apprenticing with a wedding planner, helping with events and eventually spearheading the company’s rebranding.

Snow-skiing is a passion Nancy picked up during a semester at Western State College near Crested Butte Resort in Colorado. She straps on her boots at least once a year and has conquered the Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountain powder, as well as the icy runs of Québec. When not on the slopes, Nancy enjoys cheering for Gamecock football or relaxing at Pawleys Island, S.C. with family. Some say she’s a doppelgänger for Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, but we’ll let you be the judge.
