Meagan joined our Dallas office in 2016 and quickly became a fixture on our teams supporting Mattress Firm and Interstate Batteries. She has a soft spot for helping people in need, which makes her a great fit for the Mattress Firm Foster Kids project. She lists that initiative and the Fair Park revitalization campaign among her favorite JS experiences so far.
Before landing at our agency, Meagan interned for The Richards Group, where she provided media relations for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign and supported public relations programs for Discount Tire, Sub Zero, Zephyr Gin and others. Earlier, she completed a similar internship with Ackerman McQueen, a full-service advertising agency, and served as the social media and marketing intern for a high-end retailer in Norman, Oklahoma.
Meagan earned a B.A. in Journalism, with concentrations in Public Relations and Enterprise Studies, from the University of Oklahoma. She considered a career in special education or occupational therapy, but got hooked on P.R. after participating in a P.R. track at her sorority’s national convention.
She’s a Texas native who has lived around Dallas most of her life, except for a few elementary school years that she spent in Denver. Competitive dancing was a hallmark of her youth and she still de-stresses with Pure Barre, as well as regular retail therapy. Over the phone her name sounds like the triple-southern Meggie-Lou-Ellen, but her surname is actually Welsh for leader. She’s in the right place to make the most of her moniker.
