Mary Claire Keane
Mary Claire joined Jackson Spalding in 2013 after working at a boutique agency and a leading global firm where she learned the ropes on business-to-business and lifestyle publicity campaigns. Her wide-ranging experience spans from digital content and strategy to event production and thought leadership promotion for brands such as The National Kitchen and Bath Association, Zep Commercial, Gas South and Novelis. Her JS assignments include the Chick-fil-A Foundation team and a variety of business-to-business accounts.
An Athens, Ga. native, Mary Claire graduated from The University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Art History. While she is happy that her studies gave her a solid business foundation, she never looked back after experiencing the high-energy, multi-faceted schedule of a PR intern.
She’s the daughter of a Delta Air Lines pilot, which means she’s an inveterate traveler. Her most interesting destination so far is The Republic of Senegal in West Africa, but her most memorable adventure was in Paris. When she was 16, a very recently expired passport required her to master the art of international diplomacy at the U.S. Embassy and navigate the airport on her own. This experience may explain why Mary Claire continues to try to master the French language—slowly, in typical French style.
Mary Claire lives in Buckhead, sharing a house with two friends and two dogs that vie for top-dog status there. (She’s placing her bet on Cooper, her four-year-old Boykin Spaniel.) Her interests include The Shepherd Center’s Junior Committee, The High Museum of Art’s Young Patrons and cooking- especially when it involves vegetables from her garden.
