Lisa Sills

Lisa is a Chicago transplant who came to us as a freelance graphic designer and never left. She was only supposed to fill in for a week, but her talent and work ethic were too strong to release to the competitive universe. Since joining us full time in late 2016, Lisa has worked on a variety of projects, providing both design and coding expertise.

Before heading south, Lisa was a Promotions Designer for Scranton-Gillette Communications, a magazine publisher based in Arlington Heights, IL. Prior to that, she worked for Frey Design Group, a studio that specializes in website and identity design for commercial real estate clients.

Lisa says she has always known that she would grow up to be an artist. She originally considered life as a painter, but opted instead to earn a BFA in Graphic Design from The Illinois Institute of Art.

In her free time, Lisa serves on the board for the Hope-Hill Elementary Foundation, raising funds for school supplies, after-school programs and transportation for underserved children living near the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic site.  She’s also a passionate Hot Vinyasa yogi who is working to nail a grasshopper and handstand pose this year.

We love Lisa’s personal mission statement: to design with empathy, listen with patience, collaborate with humility and create with passion.
