Kate is a talented writer who brings a hefty toolbox of communications skills to her work for Primrose Schools and other JS clients. She joined our firm in 2015 after almost two years as an account executive at MRY, where she directed college-centric activations on more than 46 campuses.
Two of her favorite MRY promotions were “Countdown to Zero,” an experiential marketing campaign that celebrated Coca-Cola Zero™ and pre-game rituals across the country, and “Tunnel of Awesome,” a Coca-Cola Zero partnership with ESPN College GameDay that simulated the sensory stimulation players feel on the field.
Prior to that, Kate worked for a year at Jackson Marketing Group in Greenville, S.C., supporting B2B clients like Michelin and Milliken with media relations, content creation and social media. She also squeezed in some contract work as a writer for travel and leisure publications.
A native of South Carolina’s Upcountry, Kate graduated, magna cum laude, from Clemson University with a bachelor’s in history and French. Originally thinking that she might go for a job at The United Nations, Kate studied abroad in France and Belgium, which gave her the wherewithal to intern at the International Paris Airshow as an interpreter for South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s delegation. She also interned for The South Carolina Department of Commerce in Munich supporting European international trade shows and back in Columbia, where she supported the Small Business and Recycling Development divisions.
Kate is married to “the smartest guy she knows,” who is responsible for her Czech last name. They met when they were paired together as the tallest attendants at the wedding of mutual friends. On the weekends, you can find them biking or running on the Beltline, hitting the road for a live music festival, or organizing their city group for Renovation Church.
Someday in the distant future, Kate may decide to teach French. She keeps the Franconversation going with her regular activities at Alliance Francaise D’Atlanta.
